A Message to Our Valued Clients
We have been monitoring the Covid-19 situation and have been trying our best to serve our clients and their animals. In light of the recent developments, the government has extended the stay at home order and are insisting that we refrain from routine dentistry and only perform essential procedures. We also have members of our team that are in the high-risk category and we are trying to be protective of them and their families.
This does not mean that we will not see your animal if there is a condition that is causing them to suffer!
As veterinarians, our top priority is for the well-being of your animals. We will be available by phone 24/7 for dental emergencies and urgent questions.
If your animal needs to be seen for an urgent dental condition, please call us to discuss the case with one of our doctors and they will decide the best course of action. As always, we do not have an added fee for clinic appointments and we have kept our boarding fees to a minimum to make it affordable and convenient for drop-off and pick-up appointments.
If you absolutely cannot haul your horse, we will make a farm call while observing the social distancing guidelines. We have a list of people that are available to haul your horse for a reasonable fee.
Existing and new appointments
In light of the government’s strong statements about routine work and socially responsible practice, there are many of our patients that will need to be rescheduled. We will be in touch with everyone that needs to be rescheduled and put them on a list for when we are able to work in a normal capacity.
All new appointments will be discussed with our doctors to determine which of these are urgent and essential procedures. When the Safer-At-Home order is lifted, we will work extended hours until all of our patients’ routine needs are met.
These cancellations will increase the workload for our staff and we ask for your patience and kindness. At times we may experience high call volumes, if needed please leave a voicemail, email or text us at 920-378-1371 to schedule your appointment.
We want everyone to understand that we highly value our clients and we want to work for you! This is a hard and trying time but we will persevere!
Examples of urgent conditions
The list is partial and not all-inclusive. Please call to discuss at any time.
- Tooth fractures, Oral tumors,Tooth abscess, Jaw abscess including draining tracts and swelling of the face.
- Nasal discharge that has an odor and the horse has no fever (If the horse has a fever this is likely not a tooth related problem please call your regular veterinarian.) We will of course be happy to discuss the case with you.
- Animals having troubling eating or are eating very slowly, picking up food into their mouth then spitting it out, and or if any blood or foul odor is noted from the mouth.
We thank you for understanding these guidelines, and hope that you and your family are staying safe and healthy.
