Midwest Veterinary Dental Services offers stall boarding for horses that are retired due to age or medical reasons.
We have a 10-stall barn and keep our retirement horses to a small group so we can know our horses well and maintain good grazing pastures. Our farm manager lives on property full-time and checks on the horses frequently.
Many of our retired horse owners live long distances from our clinic, so we handle farrier appointments, grooming and health care (vaccinations, deworming, dentistry, etc).
All boarding includes use of indoor (70x140) and outdoor (100x200) sand arenas, tack room, wash stall, and perimeter walking path.
Horses are turned out daily (except in inclement weather) with hay and grain fed twice daily. Our stalls are bedded with low-dust shavings and are cleaned daily.
